Hapa Nui accepts works of poetry, short fiction, creative non-fiction and visual arts. All work should be submitted electronically.

Poetry: Please send no more than three poems per submission. Work should be sent as an MS Word or PDF attachment to an e-mail. Poems should be no more than 250 words in length.

Fiction & Creative Non-Fiction: Please send no more than one story per submission. Stories should be no more than 5 pages (2500 words or so) in length and should be sent as an MS Word or PDF attachment to an e-mail.

Visual Arts: Please send no more than five images per submission. Images should be sent in jpeg, tiff or PDF format.

No simultaneous submissions.

By submitting to Hapa Nui you agree to have your work viewed online during the selection process. Reprints are acceptable as long as you retain current rights to the work.

The body of the e-mail should serve as your cover letter. Please include your name, contact information and an indication that you understand your work may be selected to appear online during the voting process. Work will not be accepted when sent in the body of an e-mail. Please do not submit additional work until you have recieved a response from us.
